Predictive Dialling Without Answering Machine Detection (AMD)

Predictive Dialling Without Answering Machine Detection (AMD)

Overview

Setting up Predictive dialing without Automated Answering Machind detection (AMD)

Answering Machine Detection is important if you want the system to treat calls answered by an answering machine and calls answered by a person differently. For example you may choose to hang up or play a message if the system detects an answering machine but if the system detects a person has answered the phone you may want the system to connect the call to a user.

However, If your preference is to have the system route both calls that are answered by an answering machine and the calls that are answered by a person to a system user then there is no need for answering machine detection. Answering machine detection can take several seconds to determine whether the call was answered by an answering machine or a person. By removing Answering Machine Detection calls will be connected more quickly

Disabling Answering Machine Detection

In order to disable Answering Machine Detection:

  • Navigate to your predictive campaign

Scroll down to Dialer Options

  • Set AMD Timeout to 1 by choosing 1 from the drop down list
  • Disable AMD Unknown to VM by setting the toggle switch to the left

Scroll down to Dialer Actions

  • Set Human Action to Connect by choosing Connect from the drop down list
  • Set Answering Machine Action to Connect by choosing Connect Agent from the drop down list

Now when the the predictive dealer is running for the selected campaign the call will automatically be routed to a user if it is either a person or An answering machine.

NOTE: Busy signals, Fax machines, calls that are not answered and invalid numbers will still be filtered out by the system and will not be routed to a user.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
