Workflow Action: Business Event Component

Workflow Action: Business Event Component

Overview

The Business Event component allows the system to re-load the times that have been configured in the business events into memory.

The times that are configured in business events are automatically loaded into memory temporarily at the beginning of the workflow. If there is a need to load the times into memory in the middle of a workflow in order to compare the times against the current time, then the Business Event component is needed to be placed at that point in the workflow.

The Business Event component should always be followed by another component that will have a condition that checks if the current date/time is in the list of times currently configured in the business events and time events section.

The Business Event component is not required if there is no need to check the time events beyond the beginning of the workflow.

Configuration Options

Name: The name assigned to this component.

Condition Type: If the condition returns true, then the Action will be performed. If condition returns false, then the Action will not be performed. If there is no condition specified, the Action will always be performed.

A sample of a condition could be:
If the workflow has a loop that replays a message when the caller is in the queue too long and if it has looped more than 2 times, you may want to check to make sure the contact centre is still opened.

The Condition Type would be as follows:

Expression: workitem.data.loop >= ‘2’

  • workitem.digit would be entered in the first field.
  • ‘>=’ would be selected from the dropdown.
  • ‘2’ would be entered in the last field.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
