Workflow Action: Create Contact Component


The Create Contact component is used to add a new contact record to the contact table through the workflow.

Configuration Options

Name The name assigned to this component
Description Enter a description for the component
Condition Type If the condition returns true, then the Action will be performed. If condition returns false, then the Action will not be performed. If there is no condition specified, the Action will always be performed.
Contact Specify the field in the contact table as well as the value that should be placed into the field.

A sample of a condition could be:

If you only want to create a contact if one did not already exist, you would first have to use a Contact component to search for the contact record.

The Condition Type would be as follow:

Expression: == ‘’

  • would be entered in the first field
  • ‘==’ would be selected from the dropdown
  • ‘’ would be entered in the last field

Click the + sign next to Contact for each field you want to be inserted in the new contact record.
In this example you will need to click the + sign 3 times as there are 3 fields to be entered.

  • Set the Label to firstName and the Value to John
  • Set the Label to lastName and the Value to Doe
  • Set the Label to phone and the Value to +18585551234

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
