Workflow Action: Start Keep Alive


The Start Keep Alive component is used in conjunction with Stop Keep Alive and SMS Wait for Messages.

It is used when you want to give the recipient of an SMS or Chat a maximum amount of time to respond.

If the amount of time specified elapses before the recipient of the message responds, the workitem is terminated.

Configuration Options

Name The name assigned to this component
Description Enter a description for the component
Condition Type If the condition returns true, then the Action will be performed. If condition returns false, then the Action will not be performed. If there is no condition specified, the Action will always be performed.
Timeout In Seconds Enter the amount of time, in seconds, to give the recipient to respond before terminating the workitem.

The order in which the components would be used is:

  • Start Keep Alive
  • SMS Wait for Messages or Wait Chat Message
  • Stop Keep Alive
